In 1977 it was Roger Dixon Beer’s vision to create an upholstery company that provided specialist skills and craftsmanship to both residential and corporate clients, thereby creating a legacy his children would one day inherit. Able Upholsters began as a family-run business over 36 years ago and remains a family-owned business today. Since joining Able Upholsters at the tender age of 18, Sam Schotel (Roger’s youngest daughter) was coached to one day take the lead, pushing Able Upholsters (sp) to new heights. Sam Schotel now runs this successful upholstery company with the same dedication and passion her father did.

We stock a range of locally and internationally produced fabric swatches and with so much to choose from you will find fabric that is on trend and within your budget.

Our workshop is fully equipped with everything from traditional upholstery tools to modern production machines that include the latest sewing machines, and commercial woodworking machinery allowing us the flexibility to create a wide range of bespoke upholstery designs.
